I live in Shropshire just across the border from Wales near Welshpool. At that time people were popping across the border to England to do their shopping. I think devolution has been a disaster.
It has been the same with the Blue Tongue Virus in sheep. Different responses on each side of the border. Some farms along the border have land on both sides. The Welsh Assembly always try to one step further than Westminster.
In Wales they have minimum pricing for alcohol so they come over to Shrewsbury or Hereford to buy their bottles of wine for Christmas.
