From Mass Migration to Mass Surveillance — A Nation Under Strain
Unprecedented migration, collapsing support for Digital ID, and an NHS stretched beyond its limits
This week, migration once again dominated the headlines. Keir Starmer and many in the Labour Party branded Reform UK’s migration policy “racist” — even as the UK experiences unprecedented inflows at levels never seen before. At the same time, Labour’s decision to announce a Digital ID scheme — without any manifesto mandate — has backfired badly, with public support collapsing.
Against this backdrop, I’ve examined the hard numbers: the scale of migration, the widening gap between rhetoric and reality, and the growing backlash against Digital ID.
1️⃣ Migration in Overdrive — Britain’s Demographics Rewritten
The analysis in Last 3 Years of Net Migration Outstrip the Entire 26 Years from 1981–2007 lays bare just how extreme this shift is.
From mid-2021 to mid-2024, net migration added ~2.3 million people — surpassing the 2.2 million added over 26 years from 1981 to 2007.
Natural increase (births minus deaths) added just ~34,000 during that same span, meaning ~98.5 % of population growth derived from migration.
The immediate pressure is enormous: housing demand, public services, infrastructure, and community cohesion are all being stretched beyond historical norms.
Local planning projections are being outpaced by reality, especially in fast-growing regions where schools, GP practices, and transport systems are under strain.
This is not incremental change — it’s a demographic shift with little precedent in modern UK history.
2️⃣ Narrative Failure & The McCormack Deep Dive
In Why the UK Is FAILING — The Data Doesn’t Lie, my extended interview with Peter McCormack, we dive into the gulf between political slogans and statistical truth.
In that conversation, we tore into:
Why headline inflation downplays the true cost of living squeeze, especially for working families
How energy policy and market rigging leave consumers paying more despite lower wholesale costs
Migration’s role in boosting GDP headlines while driving down living standards and housing affordability
The NHS backlog and structural inefficiency in public health, despite soaring spending
Civil liberties and public order laws as the state shifts focus toward control
It’s a two-hour deep dive that strips away spin and lays bare the numbers.
3️⃣ NHS Reality Check — Virtual Hospitals Won’t Fix Waiting Lists
On LBC with Nick Ferrari, I explained why the government’s plan for “virtual hospitals” and online consultations won’t solve the NHS crisis.
Virtual appointments may be more convenient for some patients, but they don’t create extra doctors or nurses — the core bottleneck.
A 10-minute hospital consultation is still 10 minutes online — no more capacity is created.
Without increasing the number of clinicians, waiting lists cannot be cut. Pretending otherwise is misleading.
In fact, relying on technology could even make things worse if virtual calls fail or drop out, leading to wasted slots and further cancellations.
The NHS problem is not one of format — it’s one of manpower and resources. Virtual hospitals may be dressed up as innovation, but they risk becoming another gimmick that masks, rather than fixes, systemic failure.
4️⃣ Digital ID — A Policy Without a Mandate
Here lies the clearest evidence of institutional overreach:
Support for a national Digital ID collapsed once it became official policy:
In June: ~53 % in favour, 19 % opposed (net +35 %)
After announcement: ~31 % in favour, 45 % opposed (net –14 %)
Labour never included Digital ID in its manifesto — yet they’re pushing ahead regardless.
The petition against it is closing in on 3 million signatures (sign here) — set to be one of the most-signed in UK history.
For many, resistance isn’t about convenience — it’s about rejecting a policy forced without democratic consent, and protecting privacy, freedom, and trust.
Digital ID is being sold as a “modern solution” — but the data and polling show the public no longer buys it. It’s now a symbol of how far removed the government has become from those it claims to represent.
🔚 Final Word
This week confirms the pattern:
Migration is transforming Britain at unprecedented speed
Official narratives are collapsing under scrutiny
Virtual hospitals won’t fix the NHS without more doctors
Digital ID is being pushed without a mandate — and millions are resisting
The numbers expose the truth every time. My job is to make sure they can’t be ignored.

Migration is actually changing Britain by making areas unattractive/unsafe/unwelcoming to the native Briton so they are withdrawing to the edges. London is no longer a recognisable place to anyone over about 30, regardless of what trendy bougiecrats might say. People from the Home Counties either don't even bother going in anymore or they go in, do whatever (visit the theatre, hospital, select shop) and leave ASAP. Those same people who work there, go to work and then get out. Even the tourist areas are simply scams run by immigrants for foreigners now. And everywhere is dirty with people laying around on bits of cardboard. And, if you have the misfortune to have Saturday matinee tickets, you generally have to contend with furiously angry foreign students screaming about From The River To The Sea and Killing Jews (usually accompanied by rather naive British students and Boomers who seem to think it's about Saving Little Palestinian Babies in the way Christian colonialists, aka Oxfam, back in the day used to say your sixpence and crocheted blanket square was helping to save the little black babies in Africa). So migration needs to be reversed and many of these recent migrants need to be sent back to whence they came (especially as half of them seem to go back to visit relatives and have holidays!). And I won't even start my Digital ID rant!!!!!
